I'm not feeling very inspired lately, so I just come up with whatever crosses my mind - this time, I got out some Pure Luxe colours again and threw them together. It's Oasis in the middle, Diviant at the sides and Voodoo super liner to darken the edges.

Recently, while cleaning up my Pure Luxe collection, I came across "Enchanted" and knew instantly that I would have to do a look with it again! It's a fabulous colour and I haven't used it for so long... So I decided to do something all with duochromes and iridescent colours: I applied PL Enchanted in the middle of the lid and framed it with Barry M. Aqua Gold. Then I defined the inner crease with Chartreuse and the outer corner with Orchid and All Girl:
Please excuse the fact that the lashes are all crooked - I only realised they had completely lost their shape when they were already sticking to my lids :S

- Lose weight! (around 10 kilos)
- Travel (London trip in march and USA trip in may are already booked, further plans: maybe Ireland in april, a weekend in Paris and Madrid and possibly Indonesia in november!
- Clean out my wardrobe to make room for new stuff
- Write more posts on my Phantom blog
- Get a hamster
- Tidy up my place more often
- Devote more time to studying
- Invite friends whom I haven't seen in a while
- Buy less make up and use the stuff I already have instead
The eyeliner is actually dark blue - I wanted to buy a black one but grabbed the wrong one in the store :/ I also added some holographic rhinestones to the pattern in the outer corner and a tiny bit of MAC Reflects Antique Gold in the inner corner.

Do you love polka dots as well? Then why wear them only on your clothes? They look great on the eyes too (:!
I created this look using a matte light pink and matte light seafoam from the 88 Mattes palette. I applied pink on the inner half of my lid, and then added the seafoam on the outer half, going up to my eyebrow in a rather defined line. To add the polka dots, I used some Pure Luxe Brat wet with a small brush and dotted the colour on top of the seafoam. Repeat below the lower lashline and finish off with some winged black liner and white kohl on the waterline, as well as a pair of Red Cherry lashes:

A few days ago, Evichu from La Colorópata posted a gorgeous look inspired by a painting by Victoria Francés. I instantly fell in love with the eye make up - so I decided to do a recreation of it:
Of course, this is not an exercise in creativity, but it's a good training for technique. First of all, I had to keep in mind that I am recreating a painting, which is not bound to the laws of reality-but my make-up is, so I couldn't do a 1:1 recreation of the picture. Second, texture plays an important role in this painting. I had to think how to best recreate the tear streaks and the shiny texture of the eyeshadow in some places. After applying MAC Bare Canvas, I painted the whole lid in black with MAC Carbon, going slightly lower than usual. To get the shiny purple effect, I wetted my brush and applied MAC Plummy wet in the middle of the lid. For a little bit more shine, I added some MAC Brow Gel on top of Plummy. In the outer corners, the colour is drawn out in a v shape and smudged to get a slightly messy look. On the rims I also added some Plummy to get the purple outline for the black. I also used lots of Carbon along the lower lashline, and deepened the black with Catrice Metallic Eyeliner. To create the tears, I used some actual water drops, but I am not too happy with how they turned out. For once, the water always followed the same track... Next time, I would try a different method for this.
The waterline is painted with black kohl, and the mascara is CG Lash Blast (no false lashes this time, because this look is playing rather low on the lashes). For a final touch, I used a small brush and dabbed some Platinum on to recreate the tiny small dots on the original painting.
If you look closely at the original, you will notice that the right eye is less ornate than the left one, so I just used a wash of Plummy and some mascara there. Now the make-up is complete, but since I am recreating a painting, now comes the second part: some darkroom work is required! I used both Photoshop and Lightroom during editing. First, I adjusted the gradation curves to lighten the picture. Then I used the brush tool to create an even base, on which I later used the diffuse glow. To create the iris effects, I coloured them in purple, lowered saturation levels and heightened brightness and contrast several times until I got the desired transparency effect. Finally, I added a white vignette in Lightroom. And this is the final result:

Time for a green look (again :)! This was done almost entirely with the Zoeva palette, using different shades of green, chartreuse and yellow. I did the lid in dark green, then went upwards in a degradé up to the browbone, and added a little bit of chartreuse directly below my brow. The colour on the lower lid is drawn out further than usual. To paint the little dots, I mixed some water with Pure Luxe loose eyeshadow in Forest (dark shimmery green) and painted them with a small, pointy brush. I did them freehandedly, so please excuse their little imperfections!

I'm back from my trip to Greece, and I also brought a few make up items which you are probably going to see in a few of my upcoming looks. This one is a look I have had in mind for a few weeks, mostly because I have had Firespot for a year (bought it last may at the Sawgrass CCO) and never used it until now - orange is one of the colours that I find hard to wear... But I framed it with Gold Mode on the inner and outer corners, so that it becomes more wearable for me. I also added PL Bullion mixed with water on top of my black liner on the inner half, and added some more under the winged-out tail. On my lower lid, I am wearing some Gold Mode in the inner corner and black kohl under my lashes, as well as white kohl on the waterline:

While I was reorganizing my stash, I came across my Mutiny pigment and realized that I had only used this once, back when Naughty Nauticals came out. Too little use for such a gorgeous colour! I actually wanted to do something different than the blue/purple combo but I couldn't find the other shadow I was looking for (that's when you realize you have too much stuff :P)... So I did my lid in Mutiny, then cut the crease with black kohl, blended upwards with Carbon, Mulberry, Sushi Flower and Orange Sorbet, and lined my lower lid with Carbon and Sushi Flower. Then I used some white kohl to emphasize the liner wings on the outer lid, and glued on essence falsies with light blue glitter on them. White kohl on the waterline and Lash Blast Mascara were the final touches to this look:

And I probably won't be posting a look for the next two weeks - next weekend is my birthday party, and the following monday I will be flying to Greece for a week's holiday!
My latest Fyrinnae order arrived this week, and (among others) I got those two gorgeous red shades, Kamikaze (pink-based) and Painted Roses (coral-based), so I had to play with them today:)! I applied Cheeky (light pink, more sparkly on my hands than on my lids, where it appeared almost matte) on the lid, Kamikaze in the crease wih a rather straight line in the outer corners, then blended upwards with Painted Roses and Pure Luxe Orange Sorbet. I used MAC Vanilla eyeshadow on the browbone and lined my eyes with MAD Black Cherry (pigment mixed with water). The falsies are another favourite of mine: p2 Ultra Volume lashes, which- alas - were LE:(... I used Black Cherry (dry) to line my lower lid as well, adding some Cheeky in the inner and Painted Roses in the outer corners, and some white kohl on the waterline. Mascara is - as always, CG Lash Blast.
And on another note, I will be starting singing and ballet lessons again next week, and I'm so excited :D!
